School visits are always the best! As an author, there is nothing better than to speak with young readers who are passionate about the characters in one of your books. I learn about my characters from them and always have to reread a given book before I speak with students. White Pine is one of my favorites because it captures the spirit of the logging years in Wisconsin. Remember when it comes to heroes like Fabien Roget, "you never forget legends." - White Pine
